During my time studying abroad in France I found myself constantly drawn towards childrens books and looking at them in every city I visited. It soon came to me that I should make my own, but with a unique twist. My primary focus was to employ as much texture as I could while keeping it illustrative.  It is made from fabrics that I bought during my time there as well as various threads and watercolor paints. It combines several techniques such as machine, hand and free motion embroidery.
